The Role

The Vendor Relations Director at Tricolor Holdings should be highly motivated, very organized, proactive and exhibit business professional qualities. They will manage all vendor and parts supply relations, coordinating with all Recon Facilities to support the Recon and supply chain daily operations and activities. They will coordinate special projects, relationships and cultivate vendor relationships. Also review the accuracy, cost and reliability of vendors and report, track and monitor cost, and quality control. They will also suggest and implement improvement initiatives and work hand and hand with Recon Directors.

What will you be doing at Tricolor?

  • Support Recon Service center efforts by reviewing business records to identify the areas of improvement and cost reduction
  • Conduct review of vendors at recon service center- business office files to ensure that they comply with departmental and company guidelines
  • Review and distribute reports as needed for the proper functioning of a business and/or requested by management such as; vendor cycle time reports, parts expenditures, future business, cost comparisons, sublet services etc.
  • Create and update training material related to the vendors, sublets, parts, labor and standard department practices.
  • Cultivate, maintain, and continually develop vendor relationships
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports of parts vendor cycle times, parts prices and sublet services
  • Work with Recon Managers and Directors on warranty replacement parts and work with vendor on credits or warranty replacements
  • Audit parts spend weekly and report out findings and best practices
  • Manage sublet vendor business negotiations
  • Develop, track, and reports on supplier KPIs
  • Manage and conduct quarterly reviews of key vendors to KPIs
  • Drive supplier and parts improvement initiatives throughout Tricolor sites
  • Be point of contact and leader for all sites in relation to parts and vendors

  • Bachelors degree or higher is required
  • 8+ years of experience in service, parts department and or automotive dealership parts experience or recon facility
  • Proven experience working as a vendor manager.
  • Proven experience developing team members and mentoring
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Extensive knowledge of auto parts, automotive systems and tools
  • Intermediate or Advanced level in MS office products
  • Excellent communication systems
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Efficient and strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter and independent worker
  • Experience with data analysis to drive improvements
