Job Description

The Program Manager's primary responsibilities include the execution of the plans, activities, and operations for SBIR/STTR Program, the Innovation Voucher Program and/or other fund/program operations. This person also serves as the key program spokesperson and liaison and will interface with internal Elevate staff and external stakeholders to coordinate events and create marketing material, maintain Salesforce records and gather portfolio data, generate investor and stakeholder reports, and seek out and administer grant reporting for covered programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Elevate senior leadership and in the implementation of high-quality programs, services, and activities that meet stated individual and group goals.
  • Drive the daily operations of SBIR/STTR and Innovation Voucher programs, including planning and coordination of program events
  • Drive marketing content creation, and process applications and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Collect data on program activities during planning, implementation, and follow-up to verify quality and ensure activities and services achieve stated objectives and outcomes.
  • Plan, propose, and track budgets including allocating adequate resources to each program
  • Prepare, modify, and file reports and documentation as necessary, including portfolio reports, SBIR/STTR and Innovation Voucher program reports, and grant reports

Specific Responsibilities

SBIR/STTR and Innovation Voucher (IVP) Programs

  • Be a program advate with activities in marketing, business development, social media, event attendance and outreach to stakeholders and prospective program participants
  • Curate marketing content and promotional materials for SBIR/STTR newsletter, program marketing campaigns and events, and other prospect-facing materials
  • Process SBIR/STTR incoming applications and interface with SBIR Advisors
  • Orchestrate IVP program solicitations and process incoming applications
  • Maintain applicant data in Salesforce and applicant files in Elevate internal file system
  • Lead contract preparation and deal closing process
  • Execute program data collection and program reporting
  • Monitor SBIR consultant activity and work with consultants to verify billable hours and submit invoices to the accounting department
  • Work with IT department to enhance online application process

Data Management

  • Develop and manage reporting workflows and templates for creating and processing portfolio and application data, in order to generate accurate reports within reporting deadlines
  • Manage a high volume of prospects from application through completion in a timely, organized manner and within Elevate's processing protocols

Grant Administration

  • Work with the CFO and other program team members to track and manage federal grant program reporting, including the EDA Build to Scale Grant and any future grants
  • Seek additional grant funding opportunities to support operation of various programs

Other tasks as needed

  • Participate in and support stakeholder engagement including speaking at Elevate events
  • Curate data and content for regular reports to stakeholders
  • Assist Investment/Portfolio team on tasks such as portfolio reporting and support services as needed

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.

  • Bachelor's degree plus minimum of 3-year work experience in an execution-driven role
  • Extremely detailed and organized
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at once without getting overwhelmed
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must - verbal and written
  • Experience with program management in a similar role a plus
