Position Summary:

We are searching for an Operations Specialist to support a suite of Online Products and fulfill customer orders across a variety of online products in English and Chinese. This position is a multi-functional role and works in a team environment with our Sales Team, Product Managers and Project Managers to support rapidly developing demand in electronic resources.

The Operations Specialist will be providing customer services to customers worldwide for a specified product suite including but not limited to managing electronic resources (such as periodicals, eBooks, databases, etc.); invoicing, managing user access; and troubleshooting customer issues for timely and positive customer outcomes.


  • Provide superior customer support for online products, customer orders and other requests in both English or Chinese
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Communication with East View's partners and database providers
  • Work closely with internal Sales, IT and Accounting departments to troubleshoot issues and/or answer customer questions
  • Input and track data for inventory, orders and invoices
  • Prepare reports for customers and management team
  • Other tasks as assigned.


  • Mandarin Chinese language skills required
  • Bachelor's degree desired but not required
  • 1+ years' prior customer support experience required; with excellent interpersonal communications and troubleshooting skills
  • Any prior experience in academic research, library science or publishing work environment desired but not required
  • Must be highly organized and skilled in time management with ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and manage deadlines
  • Must have strong track record of accuracy in communications and technical details
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products
  • Ability to learn new products quickly and to adapt to changes in delivered services.

Workplace Details

  • This is a full-time onsite position located in Hopkins MN near Hopkins Crossroads/Hwy 39
  • The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some flexibility depending upon the demands of the workload
