Job Description
SIG Plc. is a leading supplier of specialist building materials to trade customers across Europe as a specialist distributor of insulation and interiors products and merchant of roofing and exterior products. We are looking to recruit an
Internal Sales Executive
who will work with the Branch and Regional Sales strategy and targets and to attain monthly and annual sales targets for the branch. You will look to identify opportunities and maintain customer relationships to maximise sales potential, champion business objectives and ensure strong focus on margin, volume and profit.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage existing accounts to achieve maximum business • Open new accounts and ensure they continue to develop profitably• Engage with customers face to face and over the phone • Accurately take and input orders onto the system• Providing quotes • Maximise add-on sales• Make proactive sales telephone calls to lapsed accounts and potential new customers• Collaborate closely with warehouse team to ensure correct products are delivered on time• Regularly engaging with external sales and credit control teams• Any other reasonable duties within the individual capabilities• Work collaboratively to create awareness in the customer base of the full range of product offering within SIG Plc• Follow best practice within the branch in relation to all diversity, equal opportunities, and environmental matters, and ensure branch compliance with all relevant legislation.• Follow the "Zero Harm" culture within the branch, which recognises and promotes the absolute importance of health and safety and environmentally responsible behaviour. Lead by example in actively promoting and instilling a culture where health and safety of every team member is the number one priority.
The successful candidate will require:
• Previous internal sales experience• Sales experience in a construction related distribution (preferable) and competitor knowledge (preferable)• Good level of numeracy and IT skills• Excellent attention to detail• Strong Communication Skills• Ability to build & maintain key relationships with customers & suppliers
