Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a working knowledge of group health and dental insurance, disability insurance, health and flexible savings accounts, and all legal requirements related to employee benefits.
  • Administration of assigned client's the health and welfare plans.
  • Representation of the plan features to employees
  • Enrollment assistance
  • Assistance with resolution of billing and claims questions through interface to carriers and covered employees.
  • Annual review of each assigned client's group benefits program and making recommendations for the following year.
  • Analysis of plan utilization
    • Review, analyze, and reconciles various customer concerns and policies
    • Manage customer service, communications, marketing, and retention
  • Manage the following processes for each assigned client company:
  • ACA Affordability Test
  • ACA Compliance
  • Add Dependents
  • Audits
  • ASI Plans Quote
  • Assist in obtaining benefit plan Id cards
  • Benefit / Claim Issues
  • Benefit Initial Eligibility / Follow Up
  • Assist client to determine contribution split on group plans
  • Assist client in determining what plans are appropriate for their business
  • Analyze and explain client risk tier changes
  • Maintain and update records and transactions in Client Space
  • Work with management and client to determine and set up client meetings
  • Follow up and explanation of COBRA to future and current COBRA participants
  • Ensure legal compliance with ERISA, HIPAA (when applicable), IRS regulations, etc.
  • Responses and documentation of response to court ordered medical coverage
  • Management of coverage termination
  • Respond to clients regarding custom report requests
  • System set up and maintenance of deductions / adjustments
  • Management and explanation of flexible spending account options
  • Verification of eligibility
  • Production of letters to provide proof of eligibility or loss
  • Entry of rates into benefits system
  • Employee Personal Update - Benefits
  • Employee Status Change - Benefits
  • Enrollment - Orientation
  • FMLA / LOA Benefits
  • Follow up on inaccurate information from employees
  • Assistance with open Enrollment / Issues
  • Outside Plan Group Quotes and Issues
  • Presentations
  • Print Employee Master
  • Plan Changes
  • Work with employees to make changes due to qualifying events, status changes, requests for late enrollment, enrollment in supplemental plans, etc.
  • Renewal and Open Enrollment - Client Level
  • Occasional client/employee meetings outside of normal working hours
  • Representation of Voluntary Products
  • Provide support and back-up to all concentrations of Benefits
  • Provide support when needed by all departments
