Full-time Director of Medical/Surgical needed at a top facility in Idaho!

Currently looking for a dynamic and passionate Director of Nursing, Medical/Surgical Unit to join a top facility in the Northwest located within 2 hours of Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Salt Lake City, and Yellowstone National Park.

The Director of Nursing, Medical/Surgical Unit will be responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term planning of the unit including patient care, directing and developing staff, collaborating with physicians, and multidisciplinary professional staff. The successful candidate will be able to:
- Direct broad operations to ensure comprehensive departmental services are in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements.
- Assess, measures and improves employee engagement; oversees daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training, competencies and staff development.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership through improvements in nursing practice. Continuously assesses, measures and improves clinical practice and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure financial performance and responsible management of all departmental resources.
- Ensure a collaborative departmental approach to long-range strategic operational planning, care and service design; develops policies reflecting the mission of the organization.
- Demonstrate clinical, technical and managerial competency.

Requirements include:
Bachelor s degree in Nursing required; Mastered preferred
Current Idaho RN license and BLS certification required
Minimum of 2+ years of management experience within Medical/Surgical unit
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with proven track record of building successful teams
Tact, discretion and professionalism to handle difficult patient, physician and staff situations
EPIC EMR experience and ACLS preferred
