Business Analyst - Business Intelligence

POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Business Analyst, BI Developer reports to the IT Director at Architectural Surfaces Group and is responsible for analytical support to a group of users on business applications, infrastructure and technology related activities. Acts as a project team member, specifically on requirements definition and testing activities. . Provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow-up on complex problems and ensures resolution. Assists users on their migration to new or revised products, applications and platforms. Works with application developers and operations personnel to support production applications and user-specific operations. Provide day to day support and management of IT tools, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), BI (Business Intelligence).

Must Have

• Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
• Perform requirements analysis
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements
• Performing user acceptance testing
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects

• Serving as a liaison between users and IT team

• 3-5 years of experience in Business requirement, Functional/Technical documentation
• 2-3 years of experience in any of ERP Systems, SQL Database, Understanding of Data integrity
• 3-5 years of experience utilizing advanced Excel features and data file management techniques 

Nice to have:

• 2-3 years of experience with BI Tool (Phocas, Power BI, Tableau) 
• Experience migrating large data sets into and out of a data warehouse and/or data mart
• Experience creating Analytical Dashboards, Data Visualization
• Clear understanding of Business requirements, User interface, Reporting tools

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Application
• 5+ years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 2 years in ERP, Data Analytics
• Demonstrated business partnering and presentation skills
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel modeling skills and PowerPoint skills
• Strong communication, Interpersonal skills, both orally and written
• Demonstrated ability to work with and present complex data, file formats, integrations
• Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
