Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing comprehensive legal advice to clients and a strong background in various legal matters. The candidate should possess exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage legal projects efficiently. Experience with municipal work is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues to support cases, transactions, and other matters.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their legal needs, provide advice, and update them on case developments.
  • Collaborate with other associates and partners on complex cases or transactions, seeking guidance when needed.
  • Assist in developing legal strategies and approaches to cases, transactions, or other legal matters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide exceptional client service.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal practices through continuing legal education and professional development.
  • Participate in networking events, seminars, and activities to attract new clients and promote the firm's services.
  • If applicable, handle legal matters related to local government, zoning laws, public services, and other municipal issues.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Indiana State Bar.
  • Experience practicing in a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the law.
  • Desire to grow independently and collaboratively within our firm.
  • Strong commitment to client service in a positive and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong research skills and proficiency in using various research tools, including the Office 360, Westlaw, PACER and other media and financial services sites.
